March 12, 2010 – Orbit Energy Registration for New Renewable Energy Facility in Charlotte

 

Orbit Energy received an Order Accepting Registration of New Renewable Energy Facility for the planned HSAD plant in Charlotte, NC.  This registration acknowledges that the electricity produced from anaerobic digestion of food waste, vegetative waste from landscaping operations, paper and cardboard, agriculture and animal waste, and food processing waste will qualify as renewable energy under the renewable energy under the North Carolina Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standards.
