Orbit Energy Inc., owns a proprietary renewable energy technology that converts a wide variety of solid organic wastes into biogas/electricity and compost. Orbit’s innovative waste-to-energy technology, High Solids Anaerobic Digestion (HSAD), can process food waste, yard trimmings, the organic fraction of municipal solid waste and animal manure into green energy.

Orbit’s overall business model is to build, own and operate regional HSAD power plants in the U.S., and to sell on-site HSAD solutions in international markets and for farm and industrial/commercial applications.

Orbit focuses on organic solid and slurry wastes that are 20 to 45 percent solid.  These organic wastes are best suited for our HSAD technology and generally unacceptable for other alternative energy technologies.

Orbit’s corporate headquarters are in Raleigh, North Carolina. We currently  operate an HSAD plant in Clinton, North Carolina and are looking to build two more plants by 2009. The preliminary site selection for these plants has been completed and final decisions are expected soon.
